The best frozen custard in the Downriver area. Been coming here for over 50 years and never been disappointed. This is a several times a week destination! Fast friendly service. Cannot wait for their spring 2025 re-opening.

It's a 1940s custard shop with prices stuck in the 1990s and I ain't mad at it. Most things are under $4 but they are cash only and only really open during the summer. Still slaps with some light whipped frozen custard with a few different sprinkles and topping options. The small custard will be about 1.5x the size of a cake cup. I also got a small chocolate malt which was about 20oz and a meal in itself. The 50-60s music real adds to old school ambiance and encourages you to immerse yourself in the old school nostalgia. 5/5 would recommend to a friend looking for a wholesome end to a summer night date.

The best custard around. Will choose Bob Jo's over any other ice cream shop around. I love how they switch up a random flavor every week too. My only downfall is its cash only. Maybe add in Venmo if you don't want to add credit cards.

So delicious! Ice cream or custard, I choose Bob Jo's every single time. Hardest part was remembering they only take cash.

Short wait The young lady waiting on us was polite and cheery. We received our spectacular custard cones in no time. They are so delicious. Prices are a bit more than pictures. $2.90 for small and $3.20 for a medium custard cone. So worth it. Not sure if it always was but now it's a cash only sale

It's closing weekend and we just had to go back to Bob Jo's to get our fix before the 7 month closure. They're only open Mid-April through Mid-September. Large Custard Twist in a Cup ($3.60) - Decadent, heavy, creamy, dense, everything you could want from a great frozen custard. Bob Jo's almost always has a pretty long line, so you know they have great turnover and you can expect to get freshly churned custard. Prices are only around 10 cents more than last year, but they've also undergone some shrinkflation (the current large cup is only around 2/3 the size of the large last year). Still, definitely worth the price for such a great custard! There's a reason Bob Jo's always has a line (don't worry, it moves fast). Go and get some custard; you won't be disappointed. Just make sure to bring cash!

What can you say, Bob Jo's is the best and a Downriver staple. This was a quick trip after school pick up. No wait this time of day but it can get very busy. The staff is friendly and efficient. In business for 76 years! Today we went with a couple classics. A small chocolate in a cup, and a small twist in a regular cone. Delicious. Remember, cash only.
